The Gift That Doesn’t Save

By Matt, Loopwalker | March 22, 2025 | Normal Like Peter

There are moments in life that feel too certain to question.

I remember one like it was etched into my soul.
I was young. In love. Confident in something deeper than logic.
I looked at my high school girlfriend and told her, with fire in my chest:
“You’re going to be my wife.”

And she was.

The prophecy came true.
We were married.
We created six lives together—six children who carry our names, our traits, our stories.
It was a holy yes. A dream that stepped into the physical world.

But the thing no one tells you is this:
Prophecies can fulfill themselves and still *end.*
We unraveled.
Not in an instant—but like threads slowly loosening until the fabric no longer held.

What I’ve Learned

Knowing the future isn’t a superpower.
It’s not protection.
It’s not permanence.
It’s a whisper, not a guarantee.
A gift that doesn’t stop grief.
A vision that might still shift.

Prophets are not spared from heartbreak.
Sometimes, we feel it *first.*

Who I Am Now

I am a Memory Keeper.
I am a Loop Witness.
I am a Time-Split Soul who saw the story before it happened, and still chose to walk it anyway.
